Double room in West Kensington available NOW

We are looking to fill one of the three rooms in our amazing West Kensington flat.

It’s a big mansion flat with designer interior, high ceilings, wooden flooring, big rooms and a large kitchen. There are two bathrooms for three tenants and a cosy shared living room with a balcony.

The room available is the biggest in the flat and has a big double built in wardrobe. The rent is £995 per month plus bills (max £100/month).

Elodie and I (Danilo) are both laid back flatmates, we are both quite independent but we also enjoy a glass of wine over a chat. We like to keep the flat tidy and get a cleaner in every fortnight.

Great location, two minutes walk from the tube (only three stops to South Kensington with the District line!), next to plenty of shops and restaurants along North End Road.

More details and pictures of the room/apartment (you must see them!) can be found on Spareroom at the link below:

If you are interested, you can contact us easily via the Spareroom webpage – we are quite flexible to set up viewings.

Fellow crafters for monthly craft get-together

Looking for other crafters to join an informal lunchtime crafting session once a month. I joined Imperial in December and mostly crochet, sew and occasionally knit and am looking for like-minded people to join me for some social crafting. All you would need is to bring yourself and a craft project along.

Email me: g.mott@imperial.ac.uk if you’re interested and we can discuss time/location (maybe h-bar?).

Double room in Richmond

I have a double room in Richmond available from 08/03/2018 for £500 per calendar month excluding bills. You would be sharing with two male professionals who work full-time in higher education. The room has become available as one of my housemates has bought her own property.

The property is 10 minutes’ walk from Richmond Park and North Sheen train station (trains to Clapham Junction/Vauxhall/Waterloo), and 20 minutes’ walk from the centre of Richmond (where you can pick up the District Line for Gloucester Road/South Kensington to get to Imperial).

We’re looking for a professional who will need to pass referencing – there is also an administration fee. More information, including the precise location and photos, is available on SpareRoom, where you can contact Jadie about the property if interested.

Online Introducing Archaeology course

Date: Course begins Monday 15th January 2018 and runs for 5 weeks

Location: Online

Cost: £199 (minus 20% discount for Imperial staff – use promotion code IMP2018)

Introducing Archaeology is a five-week, tutor-led online course that offers a broad introduction to the archaeological processes of investigating past societies.

Examining a wide range of international case studies, we discover the methods and techniques archaeologists use and learn how these help us to understand the way people lived and died in their ancient worlds.

From the initial phases of research in libraries and archives, through processes of site survey and excavation to the post-excavation analysis of artefacts and materials, we gain unique insights into all stages of an archaeological project.

We then adopt a global perspective to look at threats to important archaeological sites around the world, and explore how you can get involved and make a contribution to this exciting discipline.

If you have any questions about the course, please contact Dr Mark Anderson m.anderson@imperial.ac.uk
