Calling all surgical trainees with OOPEs in a low-middle income country

Dear Colleague,

My name is Sonia Basson. I am a surgical trainee and am currently completing a Masters in Surgical Education at Imperial College. I am conducting a study to explore how the experiences of UK surgical trainees undertaking an out-of-programme experience (OOPE) in a low- middle-income country (LMIC) contributes to their professional identify and return to surgical practice on return to the UK.

This study would entail you attending a 30-60 minute one-to-one audio-recorded interview to explore your personal experience.  I am hoping to recruit 5-10 participants across all the surgical sub-specialities to gain a wider understanding on this topic.

Please see the study participant information leaflet, which describes the study in more detail.  If you are interested in participating in this study or have any further questions, then please do not hesitate to contact me at sonia.basson14@imperial.ac.uk

Kind Regards,

Miss Sonia Basson
