Paulette Shelley, Administration Support Officer, ICT

Paulette recently celebrated her 30th anniversary working for Imperial, having started in January 1988.

“My role is very varied and involves managing the ICT common room, ordering stock, ordering mobile phones for new staff and responsibility for adding/moving/deleting people within the ICT telephone system. Over the 30 years the department has had several names, Computer Centre and Centre for Computing Services. Many changes have taken place since then. Different people have come and gone. Technology has moved on and remains to still get faster. In the early 1990s I obtained a Degree in Professional Studies for Education and taught adults computers for 20 years which I enjoyed. At Imperial I am a Harassment Support Contact (HSC) and a member of Imperial as One, which has had some enjoyable and memorable events.”
