Our world is generating massive data. This large amount of data has the potential to transform the way business, government and healthcare are carried out. Such massive data defines the concept of Big Data and the emerging discipline of data science. The most important goal of data science is to use automated methods to analyze massive amounts of data and extract value through sophisticated analysis, and use it as the basis to make decisions.
The workshop is under the auspices of the British Council Research Links project and intended to be a career development opportunity with
focus on promoting UK-Moroccan collaboration. It will articulate major challenges posed by the era of Big Data, and address applications in financial services, cybersecurity and genomics.
The workshop will be held on Feb 17-19, 2014 at Imperial College London.
