Electrical propagation in fetal heart model

First we see arrhythmia induced by bile acid in an in vitro model of the fetal heart. The arrhythmia is prevented by the addition of ursodeoxycholic acid.

British heart Foundation research image competition 2011: Looking for the source – propagation

This video shows a wave of electrical activity spreading across the heart of a patient with congenital heart disease. The 3D reconstruction of the heart is produced using cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging.
