This year’s fete, organised by the Support Services Social Committee, will be held on Tuesday 19 July 2016. More details to follow. You can read about last year’s event here. We look forward to seeing you then!
A group of 19 staff attended a glass blowing demonstration by Stephen Ramsey from the Department of Chemistry on Tuesday 8 December 2015. The event was an opportunity to see first hand an example of the range of interesting work that goes on within departments and to meet staff from across the College – amongst the 19 attendees, 14 different departments were represented.
If you know of anything similar which takes place at Imperial, which we could share more widely, then please let the Social Committee know via email@example.com.
Channel your inner crafter and join the staff Crochet Club, led by staff member Joanna Norton. The club is free to join, and help and support with technique is provided, but you’ll need to bring your own supplies. The club meets every Thursday during lunchtimes in the mezzanine above the Seminar and Learning Centre. Contact the Club.
The Imperial Staff photo club has been re-started, and is led by staff member Nick Kay. You don’t have to have any experience or expensive equipment, as you can make use of the camera on your phone. The club meets on the first Tuesday or Wednesday of each month alternately, and provides tips on technique and style. Contact the Club
We’ve had a bit of interest recently from people who like crafting, and want to meet other people who craft for lunch time groups.
There’s a stitching and crafting group that meets every Thursday lunchtime, in the mezzanine above the Seminar and Learning Centre (5th Floor Sherfield) and they want to see new faces coming along. All levels welcome. For more information please email Joanna Norton firstname.lastname@example.org
