Springer eBooks in Computer Science

Great News! Library Services now provide access to the Springer e-book collection in Computer Science. This has substantially increased our coverage in this area. The collection includes over 10,000 volumes published from 2005 onwards. Use Library Search to find the book you want.

These e-books provide unlimited access and use – book chapters can be simply and permanently downloaded onto your laptop, tablet etc.

Oxford Medicine Online – full access for Imperial and the NHS

Oxford Medicine Online provides access to the full text of over 800 highly-regarded titles from Oxford University Press. It includes all titles in the medicine textbooks, handbooks and specialist handbooks series, even the Cheese ‘n’ Onion!

Library Services now offer full access to Oxford Medicine Online for all Imperial students and staff, as well as NHS Staff from Trusts linked with Imperial.

Imperial students and staff – click on the link from Library Search or browse the collection at Oxford Medicine Online. When working off-site you will be prompted to enter your College username and password.

NHS staff – log in with OpenAthens via Oxford Medicine Online. For instructions on creating an OpenAthens account see OpenAthens.

Royal Society of Chemistry e-book collection

Library Services have recently purchased the RSC chemistry e-book collection which includes over 1,200 titles published from 1968 to 2014.

The collection covers all areas of chemistry as well as related subject such as climate change, renewable energy, biofuels, health and medicine and forensic sciences.

And if that wasn’t enough the collection also includes books on the chemistry of fireworks, chocolate and beer!

You can search for books by title, subject or keyword and phrase at the RSC website or search for book titles on Library Search.

Chapters can be downloaded individually and there are no limits on usage meaning you can download several chapters from the same book if you want to.
